Denise Maple, MS, MSW, Founder and Principal Consultant
Denise has over 15 years of combined experience as a consultant and trainer. She helps organizations of all kinds make shifts in strategy, develop effective teams, navigate leadership transitions and redesign business processes.
Prior to founding Maple Consulting, Denise worked for 13 years at the University of Maryland College Park where she provided management consulting services to the university’s 14,000 faculty and staff. She was also an instructor, organizer and mentor for a university consultancy network, and partnered with members on organization-wide change initiatives.
The immense diversity of programs and functions found at the university gave Denise a unique opportunity to design approaches that had impact and created positive change in a wide-array of organizations. From engineers to architects, health care professionals to police officers, Denise has helped countless groups create tangible results. This work inspired Denise to create Maple Consulting with the hope of utilizing her experience to guide organizations through complex change and become more creative, strategic and innovative.
Denise holds a Master of Science in Management and Master of Social Work, both from the University of Maryland. She brings to her consulting a broad understanding of human and organizational theory, combined with sound practical experience.
Roy Schuyler, Ph.D. Principal Consultant
Roy is a teacher and consultant in organizational improvement. He retired from DuPont in 2001 after twenty-seven years in a variety of technical, supervisory and managerial assignments. He was invited to deliver five keynote addresses and dozens of presentations on organizational reliability, knowledge-based decision making, competitive advantage through technology and supply chain effectiveness. He has served as an Adjunct Professor in Reliability at the University of Maryland, College Park, and is the author of a book entitled Know Your Organization, How to Understand, Operate and Improve Your Organization in the New Business Environment.
Roy holds a B. S. in Engineering from Lehigh, and M. S. and Ph. D. degrees from the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State, and was designated a Centennial Fellow in 1996.
Jennifer Rodgers Beach, MA Management Consultant
Jennifer has worked in leadership and human development in higher education, human services and the arts for more than a dozen years. She offers a unique blend of experience in consulting, management, professional performance and technical services. Prior to her work as an independent consultant, Jennifer was an internal organizational development consultant, leadership educator, and the Director of Research and Database Administration at the University of Maryland College Park.
A skilled and dynamic facilitator, presenter, trainer and workshop designer, Jennifer brings expertise in effective communications, strategic analysis, team building and leadership development to every client relationship. She has designed programs for professional, commercial and classroom audiences, and has worked closely with senior staff, new and mid-level supervisors as well as whole departments.
Jennifer holds a master's degree from the University of Maryland and is a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
